Safe Kids Washoe County is working towards creating a safer environment for children ages 0-14.  By educating children and their parents, Safe Kids Washoe County hopes to reduce the number of accidental deaths caused by unintentional and avoidable injuries.  By making a donation to Safe Kids Washoe County, you will be assisting the organization in helping children who have been or will be injured as a result of preventable accidents.

 Here are the facts:

  • For $86, you can provide a Safe Sleep Survival Kit to help prevent a death by providing a crib for a safe sleep situation.
  • For $152, you can sponsor a child attending the Safe Kids Ready to Walk N’ Roll Camp where they learn to become independent travelers, able to safely reach the many recreational, educational, and future work destinations available in their community. The R2WNR Camp will play an important role in establishing a safe and positive biking culture in Washoe County.
  • For $250, your logo can be included in the Not Even For A Minute posters or rack cards to spread the message about child car safety.
  • For $857, your donation will provide a semester of the PHOTOVOICE project for a school in order to increase children’s perspective on road traffic safety.
